Tokyo and snow to not go together. This city has no idea how to deal with snow when it comes. There are no plows, sanding or salting capabilities. Most people, including me do not own snow shovels, window scrapers and the standard tools I had to survive my winter growing up in New England.

A very iconic picture of Essaouira, indeed. The blue windows and white wall colors painted also over the Moroccan zillij . It is the border between two houses and as nobody cares of this spot in the street where there also is the drain. Proudly shines Khatam - the eight point star on the ceramic wall. By the middle-ages, the eight-point star is widely used as a symbol in Islamic art. It is called khatim or khatim sulayman, seal of the prophets, as in signet ring. The phrase “seal of the prophets” is also used in the Koran and has particular ideological meaning for Muslims and it is certainly one of the most typic symbols of Morocco.

Thank you so much for that birdseye view. Sometimes we need a reality check to see ourselves for what we really are. We have much to be thankful for in this community.

Thank you for writing such a great piece about Lawton. It's refreshing to read all that is good about Lawton instead of all the negative. It's truly exciting to see somebody who gets it. Keep writing. Great Job.

Thank you for showing and telling the world how positive Lawton is and has been for decades. Too often, people look and point out the negative features of our home town and fail to give its positives along with it. This makes me so proud to call myself a Lawtonian.

Wwwwoooww. This piece about Lawton was so good, I had to read it twice. It's so refreshing to read about all that is good about our community instead of all the negative. Keep writing. Lawton needs more positive and talented citizens like you who actually get it. Wwwooowww.
